HandKnits originally opened its doors in a New Jersey loft back in 2000. Several moves later, we landed in the quaint river town of Brattleboro, Vermont. Since 2011, when the shop was destroyed by the remnants of tropical storm, Irene, we’ve worked hard to restore it to its previous functionality as a friendly community gathering place for local fiber arts enthusiasts.
Store owner, Beth Leggiere, has been involved in fiber and needle arts since she was 7 years old. Beth and the patient, knowledgeable staff here at Handknits are passionate about helping customers succeed at fiber arts! To that end, they’re committed to offering:
Drop by the store at 56 Elliot St. and see why, after many years of change (and a few unexpected hiccups), we’re still Brattleboro’s favorite destination yarn and knitting shop. We look forward to guiding you through your fiber crafting journey!
